Beautiful summer day enjoying the gardens of Hycroft in Vancouver.

Sonia Mocnik is inspired by her surroundings; from cityscapes to the great outdoors. Vancouver born, she has always enjoyed creating art. She paints with the colours that move her from an urban scene to natures blooms. The energy of each captured moment comes back through brushing watercolour onto paper. Blooms become larger, chairs become vibrant, and people add a sense of mystery. Sonia is self-taught and has furthered her skills through art instruction with the Federation of Canadian Artists Foundations Program, as well as other art workshops in Canada and in Mexico.
